     The SLP is a leader that collaborates with all departments within the distribution center to develop and align on strategies to produce opportunity for continuous improvement and producing strategic and tactical plans that deliver positive business results through superior customer service. 

      The SLP, as a systems and process expert, supports systems health and capabilities, ensures data standards are met and sustained, and provides information and analysis of data to support business leaders in making fact-based business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Sales & Field Operations to define, develop, and deploy strategic sales territory, distribution, vending plans aligned to business strategies

Lead and/or participate in projects and initiatives that improve quality and efficiencies in the Distribution Center and continually improve the planning functions

Lead or support OE projects, initiatives, and systems transformation to enhance operations by providing expertise in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Develop, lead, and support projects that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Continuous Improvement Lead for development, deployment, and sustainability of Operational and Sales processes, systems, and standards.

Drive strategic operational initiatives.

Drive cultural engagement throughout the organization by pursuing continuous improvement through the application of Operational Excellence and change management principles.

Produce information and perform data analysis to identify opportunities in a dynamic marketplace to maximize profitability, and support effective and efficient Planning and Field Operations execution (including warehouse and merchandising)

Expert on the end-to-end Planning systems (CONA SAP, TRP, EasiTrax, LEO etc.) to ensure data accuracy and optimal use of the applications

SME in supporting the development, implementation, and adoption of standardized processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum:

Education - High School diploma or equivalent

3 to 5 years previous planning, logistics, industrial engineering, or analytical experience

Microsoft Office applications - Beginner to intermediate level of skill on all

Operational Excellence or Lean/Six Sigma knowledge

For Liberty internal candidates:

CONA SAP – intermediate to expert

Sales reporting systems (i.e., Margin Minder) – beginner to intermediate

 

Preferred:

Education - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Engineering

5+ years’ experience in planning, logistics, industrial engineering, or analytical roles in the food/beverage industry

Operational Excellence or Lean/Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)

Project Management experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Demand Planning Analyst – APO/JDA role is responsible for managing a continually changing 12 month forward forecast, at the DC, SKU and , Customer levels, on a weekly basis. This forecast is released to Product Supply(CONA SNP) every week to determine production needs and how many cases of each product needs available at each DC at any given time. The position creates a statistically driven forecast as a baseline, makes this available to the UFP/Craft system, and then receives back a collaborated-on forecast with the cross-functional inputs included. This include the weekly administration of inputs from the National Retail Sales team, Local Inputs, Weekly Forecasting calls with DC Leadership, New item implementation, SKU rationalization, Table maintenance, and Hierarchy updates, working in conjunction with the UFP/Craft Analyst.
 
This role is also involved the Sales & Operations Planning routines (S&OP), Life Cycle routines, and partners regularly with IT with system enhancements and product fixes to ensure the health and smooth running of systems.
 
This role also functions as the main focal point for APO/JDA input and maintenance, along with being the Liberty point person on issues relating to the technical workings of APO currently and, JDA in the future.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
•Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
•5 years+ Supply Chain/Demand Planning Experience.
•Working Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the use of APO and UFP Forecasting Systems is Mandatory/JDA and Craft a plus.
•High Analytical Aptitude is Mandatory.
•Sales and Operations Planning experience a plus.
•Ability to be Detail Oriented in fast paced changing environment.
•Experience in successfully working with Cross-Functional Business Partners (Supply/Production/Sales/Commercialization/Management).
•Ability to solve complex Demand Planning challenges.
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Generate a statistical volume forecast for a 12 month horizon by territory, customer, SKU, and week.
•Function as the main Liberty Technical APO/JDA Demand Planning Resource.
•Perform weekly analysis on statistically generated forecasts and manually override volume as needed.
•For the short to mid-term forecast, incorporate insights from Key Business Partners including NRS, Brand teams, Sales, RGM, and National Food Service to deliver the most accurate results.
•Review forecasts fort new products and work closely with Business Partners on new product introductions, such as Commercialization, RGM, and Sales.
•Incorporate late breaking changes and insights into both the business forecast and SKU level forecast.
•Analyze forecast accuracy and forecast error at both a detailed territory/SKU level as well as aggregate level and take initiative to deliver results and develop techniques to improve results.
•Perform weekly trend analysis and analyze volume and rates to identify variances to both forecast and the business plan using established systems and ad-hoc problem solving.
•Proactively analyze forecast accuracy against usage and market intelligence, making and communicating adjustments as needed.
•Follow a collaborative and consensus approach to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for volume and financial demand forecasts.
•Foster good relationships amongst key stakeholders to drive effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast.
•Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach .
•Partner with Continuous Improvement leads and IT to actively resolved data and system issues.
